You receive a key. The installer validates it and binds it to your domain. The CMS re-checks once every 24 hours; if our server is unreachable, your website keeps working for 7 days.

Yes. localhost, 127.0.0.1 and .local / .test domains work with any valid key without using a domain slot.
Updates are included for the period of your plan. Your configuration and data files are never overwritten by an update.
